FAST AND EFFICIENT SEPARATION
The rotary screen is designed to separate waste into two or more distinct fractions and represents a key component in almost all of our recycling and waste treatment solutions.
Its efficiency is crucial for the overall performance of the downstream separation process.
IFS-designed and installed rotary drum screens are internationally recognized for their efficiency, durability, and superior performance.
VERSATILE USE
Employed in the separation processes of municipal solid waste, organic waste, commercial and industrial waste, as well as construction and demolition materials, this machine can handle both pre-shredded and raw input waste, with a capacity of up to 65 tons per hour.
WINNING TECHNOLOGY
The uniqueness of the IFS rotary screen lies in its PSV system (Screening System Enhancement), which ensures powerful and precise separation. Thanks to the combination of high screening speeds (up to 20 g/min) and optimized material-carrying profiles inside the drum, the material is lifted to the upper part and then falls back down, taking advantage of gravitational force.
This continuous movement significantly increases separation efficiency compared to traditional rotary screens.
PRACTICAL ACCESS AND MAINTENANCE
The rotary screen features inspection and maintenance doors, including a dedicated one on the material exit hopper. An internal light illuminates the drum during inspections and all access doors are equipped with safety switches that automatically stop the drum when opened.
Special thresholds prevent condensation water from leaking, ensuring
safe and clean operations. Lubrication points are centralized and
easily accessible.
KEY ADVANTAGES
• Separation efficiency up to 96% thanks to the PSV system
• Optimized material-carrying profiles that enhance screening performance
• Higher throughput enabled by high rotation speed
• Adjustable rotation speed, preventing material buildup or entanglement and ensuring consistent performance
• Low operating costs, simplified maintenance, few wear parts, and reduced energy consumption
